About me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #141028) based in the South Bay, offering in-person sessions locally and telehealth across California. Originally from India, I moved to the U.S. in the late 2000s and have called California home for over a decade. I hold an M.S. from the University of Georgia and an M.A. in Counseling from Palo Alto University.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as a research scientist in biology. While I loved the curiosity and exploration that science offered, I found myself longing for something more—a deeper sense of connection and the fulfillment that comes from supporting people in meaningful ways.

That path eventually led me to therapy, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I cherish the chance to sit with my clients in honest, heartfelt conversations—holding space for their struggles, honoring their experiences, and witnessing the courage it takes to move toward healing, clarity, and confidence.

I believe that healing and growth happen when you feel truly heard, understood, and connected with your therapist. I am committed to building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, respect, and collaboration. I bring humor, playfulness, compassion, and authenticity into our work together, because I believe genuine human connection is at the heart of therapy.

I take an integrative, trauma-informed approach that respects your pace and unique needs. At times I may gently challenge you, always with compassion and care. My work honors your individual experiences as well as the influence of relationships, family systems, culture, and identity. I offer culturally sensitive care rooted in humility and curiosity, with awareness of how race, gender, migration, and inter-generational experiences shape our lives. I hold space to examine the effects of power, privilege, and oppression, and to support clients navigating the pain of discrimination or exclusion tied to their identities.
